Ingredients
Scale
For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
For the Caesar Dressing:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Wraps:
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups romaine lettuce (chopped)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (shaved)
- 1/2 cup croutons (optional)
- 4 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly to coat them with the spices and oil.
- Grill the Shrimp: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until they turn pink, opaque, and cooked through. Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice for brightness.
- Make the Caesar Dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting flavors as needed.
- Warm the Tortillas: Heat a skillet over medium heat and warm each flour tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side until flexible and slightly toasted.
- Assemble the Wraps: Spread a generous layer of the Caesar dressing evenly onto each warm tortilla. Top each with grilled shrimp, chopped romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan, and optional bacon crumbles and croutons for added texture.
- Roll the Wraps: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom up to enclose all the fillings securely.
- Serve: Slice each wrap in half on a diagonal and serve immediately while the shrimp is warm and the tortilla is fresh.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, substitute flour tortillas with gluten-free wraps or large lettuce leaves.
- Bacon and croutons add texture and crunch but can be omitted for a lighter, vegetarian Caesar flavor (without shrimp).
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best flavor in the dressing and topping.
- Grill shrimp can be prepared on a grill pan or outdoor grill as per availability.
- Store any leftover dressing separately in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
