Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 1 package Sweet Hawaiian Dinner Rolls (12-count)
- ½ pound deli sliced smoked ham
- ½ pound deli sliced smoked roasted turkey
- ½ pound Gruyère cheese, hand grated
Sauce & Topping
- 1 stick salted butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Raspberry preserves, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 325°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil, making sure to leave enough overhang to easily lift the sliders out later. Lightly spray the lined dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Assemble the Sliders: Keep the rolls connected as a whole unit and carefully slice them horizontally to create a top and bottom half. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish. Evenly layer the smoked ham, roasted turkey, and grated Gruyère cheese on top of the bottom rolls.
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Sauce the Layers: Pour half of the prepared sauce over the meat and cheese layers, allowing it to soak in and add flavor.
- Top and Sauce the Sliders: Place the top half of the rolls over the layered ingredients in the pan and press down lightly to compact. Pour the remaining sauce over the tops and brush it evenly to coat.
- Bake the Sliders: Bake the assembled sliders uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted. If the tops brown too fast, loosely cover with foil to prevent burning.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for 5 to 10 minutes to set. Using the parchment overhang, lift the entire slab onto a cutting board. Cut into individual sliders with a sharp knife. Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm alongside raspberry preserves for dipping.
Notes
- Keep the rolls connected while slicing to maintain the slider shape during baking.
- You can substitute Gruyère cheese with Swiss or mozzarella if unavailable.
- Adjust the quantity of raspberry preserves based on your preferred sweetness.
- Cover the sliders loosely with foil during baking if they brown too quickly to prevent burning.
- Serve these sliders warm for the best taste and texture experience.
